Winskill Editorial sfep image

Winskill Editorial is the business name of Gale Winskill. My path into editing stems from a lifelong love of reading, the fact that I will happily read anything and an unconventional and indirect route into my chosen career. Some of my more unusual pursuits have proved surprisingly useful for various editing commissions. Here are a few highlights:

  • An editor since 1993, both in-house and freelance, in the UK and Hong Kong.

  • Freelance in the UK since 2008; freelance in Hong Kong, 1994–95.

  • Speak Italian fluently, have a good working knowledge of French, as well as some German.

  • Have travelled extensively, and lived and worked in Thailand and Egypt (as a PADI dive master), Italy (importing fruit and as an au pair) and Hong Kong (editing and writing textbooks).
